Detail:
You’re greeted in the foyer by beautiful, life sized wood carvings of Apsaras – dancing supernatural beings that appear as young women of great beauty who entertain the gods and fallen heroes. The cheerful hostess escorts you to a table as you pass bamboo gardens and traditional Asian art – the mood is set.
The décor foreshadows the menu for it provides a plethora of authentic dishes from across Asia. One can enjoy Pad Thai from Thailand, Ox tail soup from Cambodia, Curry from Sri Lanka or curried lamb from India. The innovative “house specialties” offer more American style cuisine with Asian flare. All this is bellied by a beverage book filled with signature cocktails, sake and a wine selection to compliment the menu selections. Entrée’s range from $ 12 to $ 30.
If flare is your thing have a seat at the sushi bar as Chef Young Ho ignites the ever popular “Playboy” roll in a shroud of flames with a 40 foot waterfall reminiscent of an ancient Buddhist temple as the backdrop.
