Detail: The Paul Otten Band is a dynamic duo of music and energy that rivals any 3, 4, 5 or 6-piece band. The two brothers that comprise the band; Paul Otten (vocals, guitar, keyboards, bass programming), and Brian Otten (drums, percussion), have been performing in their hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio and beyond for over 7 years. In those 7 years, the brothers have traveled to Columbus, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Chicago, Michigan, Wisconsin, Erie, PA, Louisville, Lexington, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, New Jersey, Florida and Omaha, NE. They have performed at clubs, private parties, wedding receptions, festivals, opened for national acts, and have sold out shows in their hometown.
The Paul Otten Band’s wedding performances have recently become the largest in-demand aspect of their business, and business has steadily increased every year over the last 7 years mainly through word-of-mouth referrals.
The key to the band’s success is their ability to entertain people of any age; their repertoire of over 370 songs spans from the 1950’s to the present. Another key to the band’s growing popularity as a wedding band is their combination of energetic, live performances and DJ services. The band’s ability to offer someone everything they would need in one package gives them an advantage over traditional forms of wedding entertainment.
The Otten brothers do not limit themselves to being just a cover band. The December 2004 release of their debut CD “Bad Parade” has achieved much success for the band in it’s own right. Two of the songs from the album were top 5 finalists in the February round of the VH1 “Song of the Year” international songwriting contest, for the Rock and Pop category. In addition, 3 of the songs from the album have been signed to a publishing deal with Universal Music Corp.
